  • Description

Painted in bright polychrome enamels this sauceboat has a shape rarely seen in Christian wares, owing more to a shape of sauceboat more often seen at Lowestoft. 15 cms long.

There are two small chips on the rim and the deliberate crimp in the rim shape has resulted in a stress crack (c 2cms) on one side.

Illustrated in my book, British Porcelain Sauceboats of the 18th Century, Figure 321.
